Student Drink and Alcohol Addiction

Alcohol addiction has become a serious problem in students it often starts out as a gesture of friendship and a way of bonding as a group, this can gradually get turned into a serious drinking problem that may eventually mean a visit to an alcohol rehab centre to remedy the problem. If the serious alcohol problem does not start while at university it often happens later in life.

A lot of students drink and party, so what’s the big deal?

 medical news

Many young people get exposed to the party life when at university and because they are normally away from home this can often get out of hand. A big problem is that risk-taking behaviour in young people is quite common. University students want to challenge themselves and see what they can do as they assert their autonomy on the way to adulthood. Students with an alcohol addiction do not believe they will ever need to enter alcohol rehab. They believe that through their student life drinking alcohol is fine and that when it is over they will be fine, sometimes this is correct. It has been found that alcohol addiction however begins while people are students. What is thought as just student party life slowly becomes a problem.
